Wheels in Wheels Events to Organise ”The Plain”; Endless Gravel Event.

Wheels in Wheels Events are delighted to announce that we have been

appointed the sole organiser of “The Plain”, the premier gravel cycling event

on Sunday 13 September 2026.

Held on Ministry of Defence land across the spectacular Salisbury Plain, “The

Plain”, offers some of the finest gravel riding in the South of England, with

more than 95% of the route on traffic-free gravel tracks, it stands alongside

the very best gravel events held in the North.

Thanks to the continued support of the British Army and the event’s MOD

licence, riders will enjoy access to areas of Salisbury Plain that are normally

closed to the public, taking the route far beyond the usual network of

bridleways and public rights of way.

We are currently working with a growing number of partners and supporters

to make the 2026 edition the best yet. Further announcements will be made

over the coming months on both the our website, www.theplain.uk website,

and across our social media channels.

Entries are now open. Numbers for this year's event are limited, so we

recommend entering early to avoid disappointment.
