A few suggestions on what kit to bring and how to carry it
Majorca in the spring can vary in weather so it is a must that you cover all possibilities, we have a suggested list for you to bring especially for the riding the rest we leave to you.
- HELMET Approved by Snell or BS as this is a legal requirement in Spain. You MUST wear your helmet at all times while cycling on the island by law.
- Cycling shorts,
- Leg warmers and/or tights
- Short and long sleeve jerseys,
- Wind-proof gilet for early morning and longer descents
- Shower proof or race jacket,
- Under vests,
- Arm warmers, socks and track mitts,
- Under helmet cap, warm gloves and sun glasses.
- We suggest that you purchase sun creams and chamois creams before you pack.
- Personal ride nutrition if you have any allergies or preferences - we will offer a selection each day but this may not be suitable for all guests.
THINGS TO DON’T HAVE TO BRING
- We will supply any damaged tyres, tubes and we will supply all bottles.
- Tools will be available at the hotel along with bike stands and cleaning stuffs and sprays.
YOUR BIKE
When packing your bike please make sure it is in a suitable box as we don’t want anyone’s holiday spoilt before they get off the plane. We recommend a complete mechanical check before leaving, check tyres and tubes and replace if necessary, and have a minimal gear of 39 x 25 (compacts will be an ideal choice). We can arrange bike box hire, although this is on a first come basis, or we can offer advice on packing your bike.
Bike hire can also be arranged through our preferred partner PRO CYCLE HIRE in Port de Pollenca. We strongly recommend contacting them direct as soon as possible as this is peak season for bike hire on the island. Full details and online booking available at www.procyclehire.com
