
Welcome to the third edition of the Pain on the Plain with 3 routes available on the day.
Unfortunately the mountain bike events scheduled for the Saturday were cancelled due to clashes with other events.
OPENS AT 07.00 CLOSES AT 10.00 to collect your rider numbers and timing card

The HQ, Registration and car parking will be sign posted from all major routes and please follow the marshalls instructions at all times.
START and FINISH at Tedworth House, Parade Grounds, Humber Lane, Tidworth. Please follow all signs
LONG ROUTE 08.00 to 08.30
INTERMEDIATE ROUTE 08.45 to 09.00
SHORT RIDE 09.30 to 10.00
The routes will fully marked with arrows on each junction and confirmation signs after 200m of the turn. (Please note there will not be any maps available) gpx downloads have changed and new details are hoped to be available on the website, from Thursday night. The route splits will be clearly marked.
There will also be safety signs and we ask everyone to adhere to these for their own and other road users’ safety.
All the feeds will have Clif Bar products, bananas, cake and savouries, plus energy drinks and water.
The long ride will have 2 feeds the first at Lavington School Hall and the 2nd at Tesco’s in Tidworth (in the rear of the car park) please follow signs carefully. The route does not return to Tedworth until the finish. On your return you will receive a replenishing meal.
There will be 4 sessions subject to demand 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday and it is planned subject to demand a short family ride around the Tedworth House grounds.
The event will be clock timed and riders are asked to log out and in with the time keepers who will give you a time and print a certificate if required.
There will be the Shimano Service in attendance on Sunday and the Wheels in Wheels BMW service bike will be out and about for the long and intermediate rides early on, moving onto the last loop to cover all riders.
Please remember this is a sportive and not a race, and the rules of the Highway Code must be adhered to at all times. We reserve the right to withdraw riders if riding dangerously or contravening the rules of the road.
