PAIN ON THE PLAIN
- July 25th 2010

pain on the plain cycling sportive

Wheels in Wheels Events are pleased to announce their latest sportive to be held to raise funds for the official Armed Services charity SSAFA. www.ssafa.org.uk

This event is unique as we have been able to gain access to military roads to add to the difficulty of the route.

The Combined Services will be using the event as part of their sportive series, so the Army, Navy and Air Force will be pitching their strengths against each other.

The routes of 90+ and 60+ miles will be held in secrecy until a week before to avoid unfair practicing but rest assured will be up to the challenging standards required by the services and those set by Wheels in Wheels

The event will start and finish in Garrison town of Tidworth west of Andover and only a short distance from Salisbury and Marlborough.

Wheels in Wheels will have their usual well proven signage, full chip timing and feeds en route, followed by a “special range meal” after your efforts.

The start for the long ride will start at 08.00, followed by the shorter route at 08.45.

A family ride will also be organised for later in the morning

There will be photographers’ enroute to record your efforts.

We look forward to seeing as many of our regular riders and many new ones to help raise funds for this very special charity. We hope some of you will take the opportunity to raise extra funds through sponsorship and forms which will be available on line soon.

We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday 25th July

On-line entries £27 >>

(All proceeds go to the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA))
