Wheels in Wheels have over 30 year’s experience of organising events and bike camps in the UK, Spain and Belgium. 2017 sees us step up again with famous faces joining us on our Spanish ride camps in Mojácar, Andalusia.

Andalusia, Spain’s new cycling paradise

Our bike camps specialise in breaking new ground and after many years in Mallorca we have moved to Mojácar on mainland Spain to a region used by most of the World Tour Professional teams for their winter camps. There are many very good reasons for this: the roads are very well maintained, there’s very little traffic (and cyclists are treated with respect), good mix of flat and mountains (you can get to over 2,000m early season), many locations for food and drink stops and weather is more predictable than the Balearics.
Coupled with our renowned backup service we aim to offer rides that ensure everyone has fun and meets their personal goals in one of the best locations available to cyclists in Europe.

Our experienced staff have helped many cyclists either new or already competing at the top level to learn or hone skills with our clients of all abilities finding us approachable, knowledgeable and flexible to meet their needs.

Our exclusive Ride like a Pro service ensures no matter what your level or ability is we look after you before, during and after the days’ rides while with us. Attention to detail and safety is a priority for Wheels in Wheels, with rides fully supported with very experienced guides and backup vehicles.

Clifbar continue to look after your daily nutritional needs as we supply you with on bike nutrition included in the price (you’ll still need money for cafe stops though as food in the area is excellent).

So no more saddle pack, mending punctures or mechanicals just leave it to us and ride your bike Just like a Pro.

Ride groups vary in speed and distance and we are designed for all types of road cyclists.  We cater for first timers to the old hands at our camps with specially researched routes for everyone offering ideal conditions for anyone wanting to escape the cold wet Northern European weather.

2017 sees Wheels in Wheels introduce famous guest riders to offer their experience, knowledge and information to all groups during certain weeks – More information to follow soon ….

Please when packing your bike make sure it is

Ensure your bike is well packed in a suitable box as we don’t want anyone’s holiday spoilt before they start. We also recommend having your bike mechanically checked before arriving and replacing any worn or tired parts such as tyres, tubes and cables if needed. We also suggest you have a minimal gear of 39 x 28; compact chainsets 50-34 will be an ideal choice as there is the option to go to 2,000m on some days and lower gears will make life easier! We can arrange bike box hire although this is on a first come basis and we can offer advice on packing your bike. Those who have opted to hire a bike through us will have their bikes waiting at the hotel on their arrival.

However please do not forget to pack your own pedals and helmet!

Some days can be long so if you are recording your rides (Garmin live and Strava-ing routes really eats battery life) please remember to bring a mobile power pack so you can top up mid ride and avoid losing data.

Towels either hand or bath
Spares tubes, tyres, pumps, bottles, tool kits, under saddle bags, and nutritional products, which will be available on arrival. We look after all these to help you pack other items needed.

We have a secure bike store (where bikes are hung on hooks not piled beside each other) in the hotel which is locked every night at 19:30.
We have a full tool kit and spare wheels and a service bike should the worst happen.

Welcome to the four star Valle Del Este Hotel

We have been using the hotel complex since our move to the mainland and we offer twin room accommodation with refrigerator and air conditioning when required. Upgrades to suites, sea views are all available.  The hotel offers excellent facilities, restaurant and bar and cyclist packed lunch 1 Euro.  There are three other bars within 100metres and a small shop for forgotten items.

- What happens if I get a puncture?

You will be informed as part of the ride brief what to do and we will change your wheel and repair the puncture sometime during the ride.

- How do I carry the extra clothing on the rides?

We will carry anything you require for the days ride in the back up vehicles so your pockets only need a gel or bar at any time. Please pack whatever you need and label your bag

- Which nutrition do you use?

We have Clifbar bars, gels and Bloks during the rides and have an energy drink available at the start and en route plus water. You can however if you have another product preference or flavour of Clifbar, bring these with you as we or the local shops might not hold these in stock.
We will visit a local shop on our first ride of the week as part of the orientation day
